2K Light Bar / Lens Tooling (Alignment Stability)
Long-structure 2K tooling is designed to keep interfaces clean and CTQ alignment repeatable.
Long parts magnify drift. Small indexing errors or thermal imbalance can turn into visible interface shifts and assembly fit issues. We engineer 2K tooling as a stability system—indexing, shut-offs, venting, and cooling must work together.
Engineering Controls
- Repeatable indexing/transfer positioning for long structures
- Thermal balance to reduce drift and warpage across the length
- Shut-off and venting logic for clean interface boundaries
- Ejection strategy to prevent deformation on long parts
What We Need
- CAD + interface definition (shot 1 vs shot 2)
- Material pair + color requirements
- CTQ list for alignment and assembly interfaces
- Target volume and lifecycle expectation
Next Step
Send CAD and CTQ notes. We’ll propose a stability-focused tooling strategy to keep long 2K output repeatable in production.
